North Texas Humane Animal Rescue Team HART is an all volunteer, non-profit 501c3, organization dedicated to rescuing homeless companion animals from local kill shelters, fostering them until permanent homes can be found; promoting spay/neuter; humane education; and humane treatment of all animals. Waco Humane Society Mid-Cities Humane Society http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/TX358.html Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation - Kendalia, Tx. Web Address is http://www.wildlife-rescue.org Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR) rescues, rehabilitates, and
releases orphaned, injured, and displaced wildlife and provides sanctuary
with dignity for non-releasable animals, both native and non-native.
We also assist in the care and adoption of domestic companion animals. Friends For Life Our Friends Forever adoption program has many positive and unique features. Our animals receive complete veterinary care, live with loving foster families, and experience many opportunities to become socialized with people and other animals before adoption. We get to know each of our rescued foster animals very well and can, therefore, provide a lot of information to prospective adopter families about each of them. About Lifelong Friends - www.lifelongfriends.org Physical Address: We are NOT the average shelter and refuse to participate in the killing
of hundreds of healthy, homeless animals that takes place every 60 seconds
in America. We are an all volunteer organization, and it has been your
continued support and compassion that has allowed us to manage animal
rescue challenges, operate and maintain our shelter, and facilitate hundreds
of adoptions. Ponderosa Pomeranian
Rescue Inc http://www.ponderapom.com/ The number of animals taken to shelters has been increasing at a staggering rate. Many have had very little contact with people and may need to learn how to interact and trust people again. Most of these dogs are resilient and will respond quickly to love and attention. It has been said that rescue dogs are extremely loyal companions because they can sense that they have been given a second chance at life. Because you are giving them the attention they deserve, you will also be rewarded with a pet that will always show love and appreciation, he will never forget that you were the one that saved his life. Some of these animals have also been abused/neglected and many need
major surgery or medical care due to their neglect. We pay for heartworm
treatment which can cost in excess of $400. It is very painful and risky,
and many of the dogs we take in are heartworm positive. We also pay for
other types of life saving surgery and depend on from donations received
by individuals. We do not receive federal funding or grants to support
our rescue efforts. Whiskerville Animal

They are kept inside our homes and are crate trained and potty trained and are taught basic commands. All of our foster homes for both dogs and cats must pass TARPA standards. We inspect every foster home to make sure our cats and dogs are kept in a clean environment. Our cats are not kept in cages or condos.
