Orange County Puppers

www.petfinder.com/shelters/VT31.html

Any dogs of any age currently posted on the OCP site are either with their rescue as noted on their description, or in foster homes. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. We do not have a facility and any available dogs are shown by appointments that are convenient to the rescue or foster family. Like any family, they have jobs, school and other activities so we have to be considerate of them considering how much they do for me not to mention the precious Angels.

Tennessee Pekingese Rescue

Circle Of Hope Animal Rescue

http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/TN318.html
Chartered as a non-profit with the State Of TN. we are a small but growing rescue whose goal is to find the "throw aways", the animals dumped because their owners did not want them any longer for one reason or another, the litters that have been tossed into the fields because an irresponsible owner did not spay/neuter their pet and were unable or unwilling to take the time to find them homes. We hope to change this by saving what we can, knowing that we cannot save them all and educating as many people as possible. We rarely take someone's pet. We are limited in space but hope to grow! We are working on ways to introduce a "Responsible Pet Ownership" program into the community and into the school system. We hope to find a way to bring a low cost spay/neuter program here also. We exist from the few donations our rural area provides and out of our own pockets. We are currently applying for our 501 c 3 non profit status.

Exotic Animal Rescue of Henry County
http://www.exoticanimalrescue.petfinder.org

We are a small home-based rescue that concentrates on reptiles, but can often take in birds and small and furry animals, too. Previous to branching off from the Henry County Humane Soc. we had kept and placed all of the exotics listed in the "Already Adopted" links on that website. We wanted to have a place just for the exotics, however. This was our chance. We believe we can do this. While we await animals to adopt out, you can take a look at who we keep now for educational purposes at our Exotic Animal Rescue Photo Album.

Adopting an exotic animal is not much different than adopting from a"normal" facility or organization. The applications are a bit more detailed and we often require a home check. All approved adoptions will be required to have a complete setup done before bringing the animal home. Email for more details.

The Henry County Humane Society
http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/phchs.html
The Henry County Humane Society has been organized to be a network of individuals whose purpose is to prevent cruelty, abuse, and neglect of animals and to promote awareness of animal issues. The Humane Society will strive to assure that the animals' interest are guaranteed by society through ongoing campaigns directed to the public to raise interest, promote responsible pet care, stress the importance of spaying and neutering your pets and to assure the animals that we share our world with a more kind and safer future.

Animals have taught us loyalty, patience, trust, love, and a respect for all nature. Nature survived millions of years before mankind. Mankind will not survive without the natural environment. There is a very delicate balance between the animals, nature, and the human factor---

Let us learn to be gentle.

Red Fern Animal Shelter

http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/redfern.html

Red Fern Animal Shelter is a newly-formed nonprofit, no-kill shelter located on 100 acres between Martin and Dresden in Weakley County, Tennessee. We currently shelter 35 dogs in outdoor kennels. (By the time I finish typing this, that number will probably change!) Our dogs receive food, clean water, exercise, Frontline, and Heartgard. They also receive the same expert medical attention that our own dogs get. The only thing our dogs need more of is one-on-one attention and love from a special person or family. But you’re reading this, so there’s hope!

Rolling Hills Humane Society

http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/TN475.html

There is now a new animal rescue organization in Henry County.

Our facility will focus mainly on abused or neglected animals. We will not be taking in strays or pets that are no longer wanted by their owners. We feel that since Henry County already has a city shelter and another Humane Society to deal with other aspects related to animals, so we believe that our time would be best spent in caring for the many abused and neglected animals in Henry County.

Rolling Hills Humane Society will be a resting place, a haven, for these poor, innocent animals. We will care for them while trying to find a good loving home for them. Since we will not accept strays, no one will be allowed to drop off strays or unwanted pets at our facility. Anyone caught dropping an animal off will be charged with abandonment and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Precious Paws Asian and Small Breed Dog Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable, 501 (c) (3), all volunteer animal welfare humane society. We strongly believe in helping the senior, fearful aggressive and special needs babies, most of whom never get adopted and will live out their lives in our foster homes. We believe every animal is special and worthy of living a long and happy life.We are a foster home based rescue and never keep our rescues in crates or cages while at our rescue. They live in our homes as members of our families until they find their new "forever home". They share our homes, our beds and touch our hearts from the moment they arrive. We show them the love and kindness that most of them have never had. Once they are vetted and socialized, happy and healthy, they are then available for adoption. We choose loving, permanent homes, where they can finally live a life they could only dream of before. Once placed in our rescue, we are deeply committed to ensuring they are safe, humanely treated and loved each day for the rest of their lives

Bunny Rescue

http://www.bunnyrescue.net/

Is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization located in Nashville, Tennessee that rescues injured and abandoned domestic rabbits, while educating the public on rabbit care and behavior. We are members of The House Rabbit Society (www.rabbit.org).
Our rescues are spayed and neutered, then taught to use a litter box so they may live indoors. Rabbits are intelligent and social, and can become wonderful companion animals if given the chance to interact with their human families. If cared for indoors, a rabbit can have a life span of 8 - 15 years. We believe they should be afforded the same rights, level of care, and opportunity for longevity as are commonly afforded to dogs and cats. We strive to find loving homes where our rescues will be treated as a member of the family!
