We are a No Kill Animal Shelter in Pottsville, PA. We take in dogs, cats, rabbits,
small critters, and the occasional horse, cow, goat, pig, bird, or reptile!
We run completely on donations, and have one of the highest adoption rates
in the state!
We aren't your typical shelter either, our dogs our not locked in kennels all
day and all night, and our cats aren't locked in cages. We have large yards
that the dogs get to run freely in all together during the day, they get tons
of toys and enjoy socializing with the other dogs. The cats have large condos,
with outside fenced in runs on the outside, and a large floor area for the
rest of the spayed and neutered kitties. We are definitely not your normal
shelter!!

Our
Adoptable Pet List
Hearts for Hounds is a non-profit, all-breed dog rescue located in Carlisle,
Pennsylvania. All the dogs we rescue are placed in loving, pre-screened foster
homes until we can find them their forever homes. We rely solely on donations
to cover transport costs, shelter pull-fees, food, supplies and veterinary
care. We try to save as many animals as possible, but our resources are limited.
If you would like to volunteer or make a donation, please call 717-805-0111.

Last Chance Ranch is a non-profit, all volunteer Equine Rescue located in Southeast
Pennsylvania. LCR rescues the old, young, injured, neglected, malnourished,
abused, and forgotten. We accept all breeds: horses, ponies, drafts, donkeys & mules.
We make every effort to rehabilitate these unfortunate animals and place them
in carefully screened custodial homes.
Neglect, suffering, and death often occur through ignorance rather than intentional
cruelty. One of our goals is to provide the new or potential horse owner the
proper education for basic horse care.
LCR has saved many horses from slaughter. Some have needed special care, veterinary
help, basic TLC, rehabilitation, or, sometimes just time to heal. LCR provides
vet care, farrier care, nourishing foods, rest and most importantly, lots of
love. Our horses have gone on to new ways of life that include riding, driving,
showing, therapy, and overall companions to all.
Last Chance Ranch has decided to join the ranks of small animal rescue and
save at least a few of these "kill shelter" pets from such an undignified
ending to their lives. With the acquisition of an additional 25 acres, LCR
plans to build a 10 run kennel to house pets that are awaiting their forever
families. This will also allow Last Chance Ranch to house small animals in
emergency or humane seizure situations.

SOROKAS ANGEL RESCUE
http://www.petfinder.org/shelters/PA405.html
My rescue is out of my home, currently I have 38 kitties that live with me.
Most of them are feral when they come here, then I get them tested, vaccinated,
spayed and neutered, any vet care they may need and finally get them homes.
Until they get homes, they are not euthanized just for existing. They rehabilitate
and socialized with adults, men, women and children and other animals. This
is a unique rescue situation, because, I don't really work with any one that
just wants to get rid of their cats, I take in wild cats and tame them down.
Each cat has a story to tell, all of which is on their special page. If I
can be of any other assistance, let me know. Thank you very much for letting
me have a place on your web site. I am not 501c3, everything that I do with
the cats comes straight from my pocket, I am not tax deductible, however,
I am non profit.

passionate about animals and animal issues. We are concerned about the responsible
management of our domestic and feral animals, and about making Lansdowne a
safe haven for people and animals to live in harmony. To this end, we are committed
to such issues as animal rescue and adoption, population control, health and
sanitation, education and awareness, and, always, the humane treatment of all
animals.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to advocate for animals in our community and for the people
who care for and about them; to raise awareness of important animal issues
through educational and promotional activities; and to foster the kind and
responsible stewardship of both domestic and feral animals.
Itty Bitty Kitty,
Inc
www.ittybittykitty.org
Here is a brief description of what we are all about:
Itty Bitty Kitty, Inc. is a non-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3), cat rescue
organization. We are dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, stray
and unwanted cats and kittens. We are a small but dedicated group of
volunteers, with over 10 years combined experience, looking to put an
end to the stray cat population. We provide safe and secure foster homes
for abused, homeless and sometimes unwanted cats and kittens until they
find their forever home. We are dedicated to finding that "Purrfect
Match" every time.
In addition to helping find homes for the stray cats and kittens, we
are also help our community by educating the public about the importance
of spaying and neutering. We not only educate the community, but also
help many individuals by assisting with the spaying or neutering of feral
cat colonies throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Our goal is to
eliminate the feral cat colonies through the region by offering low cost
spay-neuter clinics.
Our philosophy is being kind to animals helps build a better world for
everyone. Through the generous support and donations from individuals
within the community, we can ensure that any cat or kitten that comes
into our care will receive the best of care and never have to worry about
being alone, hungry, sick or in danger again.
We recently bought a camcorder and now have videos of our foster cats
on youtube and we have a myspace page. Here are the links for the youtube
