Animal Rescue Friends (A.R.F.)

http://www.animalrescuefriends.com

To date ARF has rescued 600 animals (about 85% dogs, 15% cats plus one lop eared rabbit & one Quaker parakeet). We began this mission in March of 1999 and we are a 501 c 3 not for profit completely staffed by volunteers - absolutely no paid positions. Every penny we raise goes for vetting and boarding the animals until we get homes for each of them.

Most of our student volunteers are from local high schools and hope that will continue since many of our very favorites help us right up until they graduate. Most Sunday afternoons are spent at a local Petsmart adoption outreach.

If anyone wants to assist ARF in it's mission of saving unclaimed, impounded pets in Nichols Hills (an 1800 home community within the Oklahoma City limits), they can donate time, old collars, leashes, crates, dog beds, food, treats, toys and of course money by mailing checks to Animal Rescue Friends, Inc of Nichols Hills C/O Public Works 1009 N.W. 75th Street Nichols Hills, OK 73116. ARF will respond by sending a 501 c 3 tax deduction letter (and offering a cat or a dog!).

Pet Angels Rescue

www.petangelsrescue.org

Pet Angels Rescue is an independent rescue. We work with all breeds and species of pets. We place an average of 150 animals with our 2-person operation and we are growing each year. Pet Angels has been in operation since year 2000. We are one of the few groups that will work directly with people trying to re-home their own pets or strays.

Our Mission Statement: Pet Angels Rescue Inc. saves primarily dogs and cats from public shelters, or pets that can't remain at their current homes & citizens that have taken in strays. We are dedicated to the sheltering and placement of animals, and public education of animal care and dedicated to bring people and animals together to enrich each other's lives. We believe that with Pet Angels Rescue's assistance, many animals can remain in their current homes instead of being admitted to animal shelters, while a new home is found. We advocate the importance of spaying and neutering to help stop the epidemic of pet overpopulation as well as providing education to current and future pet owners on responsible lifetime pet ownership.

Ahimsa Rescue Foundation

Rainbow Bridge Can Wait

Rainbow Bridge Can Wait is a small not for profit rural rescue working towards my 501 (c) 3; I mainly pull from local high kill shelters. All are evaluated, vaccinated heart worm tested, and Spay/Neutered. As there is only one of me and so many loving companions in need of homes I am only able to house and care for about 30, the rest in the pound are posted on my site, they only have a few days before being put to sleep. All animals adopted from Rainbow Bridge Can Wait are also eligible for Shelter Care Insurance, one month free of food, puppies and small dogs (25 lbs and under) also get a puppy kit which contains one month of heartguard and coupons for frontline plus. I can not tell you if the pound dogs are house trained and so on I can tell you training a dog is not rocket science…positive reinforcement, reputation and patience is the key, and no matter what they did they don’t deserve to die.
I operate mainly on adoption fees which start at $75.00 and up.
Please be sure to stop by my home page, it will explain in better detail.

Friends with Four Paws

We'd love to give you our info with a little bit about us so you can help promote us!!! We're a non-profit based out of Ninnekah Oklahoma (near Chickasha) and we save dogs from the Chickasha Shelter which regularly euthanizes their dogs. Last month we were able to save 17 dogs from the shelter. This month so far we've taken almost 25 dogs to rehome. We have about 17 puppies right now and 14 adults. We are not breed specific and solely rely on donations from the public. We have no private sponsors, and are always looking for more volunteers.
