Northland Animal Welfare Society is a non-profit 501c3 organization. Our group consists solely of volunteers who, through a variety of fundraising events, are determined to provide a better life for the homeless and abandoned animals of the northland. The mission of Northland Animal Welfare Society is driven by the simple philosophy that kindness to animals helps build a better world for all of us. Our work is supported entirely through the donations of our members and supporters. We want to ensure that animals will never again be alone, hungry, sick, afraid, or in pain. We want to create awareness within our community about the immediate need to reduce the number of unwanted and discarded animals. The cornerstone of our program is to educate and promote the concept of spaying and neutering.

Our goal is to help every animal find a home. If it can’t, then we need a proper shelter to provide a safe, caring, and secure environment until it finds a new home. We strongly believe that every animal deserves the opportunity to live its life as a part of a loving and caring family. All animals are equal in our eyes, and each one has a special gift.We believe that a caring and compassionate commitment to the animals that we share our lives with, will provide for an enriching environment for us all.We believe that it is our responsibility to leave the footprints for those that follow us, to make a difference and to make our contributions meaningful and long-lasting.

Our current goal is to raise the necessary funding to build a new, 21st century animal shelter for all of the Northland—while at the same time, increasing the awareness of the service this new shelter will provide, and highlighting its importance in the northland.

Welcome to Sherri's Kitty Rehab and the Critter Cradle

www.hallhaven.org
Hello, my name is Sherri Hall. I am a native of Seattle, Washington and am now living in Missouri. I have been married to Eddie since 1995. I have 3 children and two grandsons. Since as long as I can remember, I have taken in and rehabilitated felines when they are abused and neglected. My passion for helping God's creatures got a boost when I wed Eddie and moved on 5 mostly wooded acres North of Marshfield. I was able to help more kitties but still tried keeping my flock to a manageable 25-30 kitties. A couple of years ago I got acquainted with a local animal rescue that needed help with their cats so I offered to help out and very quickly found myself overloaded. The local rescue started referring all their feline calls to me and I now have around 150 feline angels in my care. With other area shelters filling up, I am even getting calls from Law Enforcement to aid in rescues of other abandoned & abused animals such as dogs, goats and rabbits which I am not equipped to handle but still I manage. I run my kitty sanctuary by myself and often spend 8-10 hours per day tending to their needs. God has sent me several angels to help with the bills that go along with doing such work for which I am eternally grateful. "Paying it forward" is not just a saying but my life's philosophy.

Phelps County Animal Welfare League Mid-Missouri
www.pcawl.org

Our focus is on helping the local shelter animals in danger of euthanasia find forever families through our foster home network.

Who are we? We are your neighbors, your co-workers, and your fellow citizens who care deeply about the plight of animals in our community, particularly
shelter animals. Some of us volunteer at the shelter. Others have rescued animals in the community or from the shelter. All of us look into our pets eyes and
feel compassion for those animals without a place to call home. We are also big dreamers, and working toward the goal of no-kill in Phelps County, in which
no adoptable animal will have to be euthanized due to lack of an available home. With the invaluable help of volunteers and Friends, we will strive toward building
a community where every dog and cat will have a home as a treasured pet.

We are a nonprofit organization whose goal is to promote and improve the welfare of animals in Phelps County, primarily through support of the animals at
the Rolla Animal Shelter. We are not formally affiliated with the shelter, nor receive any funding whatsoever from the city.

Humane Society of Southeast Missouri (SEMO)
www.semopets.org
501 c-3 / non profit
We have over 5,000 animals turned over to us each year. We are very strong advocate of spay & neuter. We have a program to help low income have their animals altered. Our education program takes the lessons to the school. We teach children safety around animals, the proper care of animals and the over population of animals. We also encourage people to have their pet microchipped. Through a microchip we were able to return a dog to his rightful owner after 3 years. The dog had been stolen from their yard, after 3 years the dog remembered them. We strive to improve the lives of animals, to bring animal & human
together as a family. To educate the public on the proper care of animals. To stop the inhumane treatment of animals.

We mainly house domestic animals but have taken in goats, potbellied pigs, rabbits, ferrets, birds, chickens, hamsters, mice, lizards and rats. We do not house snakes or spiders but do make arrangements for them to go into a foster home.

The Animal Welfare Association of Warren County (A.W.A) was founded in 1989, to address the lack of county funded animal control. We are an all volunteer, 501c (3) not for profit organization, licensed by the state of Missouri. Since Warren County is still a mostly rural area, it has become a dumping ground for unwanted pets from nearby urban counties. Our main goal is to find good homes and forever families for these "disposable" pets. Since we began, our volunteers have rescued over 6,500 stray, abandoned or abused animals throughout the incorporated area of Warren County. We have also, on occasion, accepted owner turn-in pets. Rescues are not always limited to cats and dogs.
Among our rescues have been Vietnamese pigs, goats, peacocks, domestic rabbits, foxes, possums, raccoons, and horses. We also work in cooperation with the Warren County Sheriff's Department in investigating, rescuing, and prosecuting animal neglect and abuse cases.
